IDENTITY CRISIS

I am currently having an identity crisis when it comes to getting dressed. Struggling to decide whether I want to listen to my heart and dress manly like this (from Man Repeller):
or boost my ego and dress femininely like this (from Style by Kling):
Both outfits make me weak at the knees (note Stella McCartney denim overalls and Acne dress) and I am leaning towards having male genitalia during the day and breasts at night. However, this harsh conversion often results in me looking like a transvestite. Do you think this complete style conversion is acceptable? You let me know and I'll let you know the comments I receive after dramatically changing between genders.

WINSPIRATION

Apologies for the corny title, I couldn't think of anything better. Whilst scrolling through The Sartorialist on a rainy day I decided it is the perfect time to pull out the winter coats. There is so much great outfit inspiration on The Sartorialist- here are just a few.

BRAND ON A TAG

On the 28th of May my friends at Brand on a Tag hosted a fashion show at the Lady Daly Hotel. Lucky for me they decided I should be one of their models (I am definitely not model material as you will see) but the show went amazingly! Their clothes are an awesome mix of vintage and op-shop clothes that they have sourced from around South Australia. The girls, Abbie and Amanda, are extremely talented at putting outfits together (putting many bloggers to shame. Hence, I left wanting to buy numerous items- including a pair of very over-sized mens shorts that I wore (see below). Apart from the clothes the night consisted of sneakily drinking Bulmers and shots upstairs, eating access musk sticks and lollies. We also had to battle drunk males attempting to walk the catwalk. I must also take my hat off to models and their ability to change incredibly fast. If you could of seen the hecticness as we attempted to do up shirt buttons and slip on shoes you would of been amazed. I definitely walked the catwalk at least once with my shoes not on properly (yes I am amazing). Thankyou and well done Abbie and Amanda- visit their site here for more clothes and where to purchase.

RIPPED

Ripped jeans. I thought they disappeared a couple of years ago when I finally threw out my home-made ripped jeans that made me look like a home-less prostitute (I don't think I quite made them right and I really shouldn't of used skin-tight jeans). However, I have seen a re-occuring trend on instagram and blogs recently with the reappearance of ripped jeans. I must say I am a much bigger fan of this generation of ripped jeans. Like the photo above they are a perfect combination of boyfriend jeans meet cool meet homeless person. I don't think they would really keep you very warm in winter though (maybe more of a spring/autumn piece of attire). I must say I searched far and wide (using my friend Google) to see where I could source a pair similar but I came up empty handed- so if you know where I can find these babies let me know. Otherwise I think I may horribly attempt once again to make my own pair. I will keep you updated with the results.
